The following paid positions are currently open within the CASA organization: 

Referee Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Referee Coordinator to manage and oversee all aspects of our referee program. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of sports officiating, excellent communication skills, and the ability to efficiently schedule and coordinate referees for various events. The Referee Coordinator will answer to the CASA Executive Committee, and play a crucial role in ensuring fair play, sportsmanship, and a positive experience for all participants.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Scheduling and Assignment: coordinate and schedule referees for games and events, assign referees based on experience and match requirements, and ensure proper coverage and availability of referees for all activities
  2. Recruitment and Training: recruit new referees and maintain a pool of qualified officiating personnel, organize referee training and provide ongoing support and mentorship to referees to enhance their skills
  3. Communication: serve as the main point of contact for referees, coaches and the CASA board, communicate game assignments, changes and important information to referees in a timely manner, address and resolve any issues or conflicts relating to officiating
  4. Rules and Regulations: stay informed about rule changes and other soccer updates, ensure that referees are properly trained and adhere to rules and regulations, maintain compliance with CASA and SDYSA
  5. Logistics and Operations: coordinate logistics for referees including uniforms and game-day preparations, manage equipment and resources necessary for officiating, and provide constructive feedback to referees to help them improve and excel in their roles.

Qualifications include:

  • Safe Sport certification (background check) is recommended.
  • experience in sports officiating and coordination
  • organizational and time-management skills
  • leadership and communication skills
  • knowlege of soccer rules and regulations
  • ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve conflicts
  • flexible hours (late afternoon, most weekday evenings)

Concession Stand Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Concession Stand Coordinator to oversee the efficient operation of our concession stand. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and quality product. The Concession Stand Coordinator will answer to the CASA Executive Committe, and be responsible for managing all aspects of concession stand operations, including inventory management, volunteer supervision, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Operational Oversight: plan and execute daily operations, ensure equipment is in working order and maintained properly
  2. Volunteer Management: create schedules for volunteers (example sign up form) and available to assist and attend to issues that may arise
  3. Customer Service: interactions with customers (children and parents), address customer questions and concerns promptly and professionally
  4. Inventory Control: manage inventory and order supplies as needed
  5. Financial Management: handling cash transactions and prepare deposits, monitor sales trends and implement strategies for customer experience with profit, recognize and provide recommendations for improvement
  6. Compliance and Safety: ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, monitor food handling practices to maintain quality and safety standards, and implement necessary changes as needed.

Qualifications include:
